Zip Mint Corp. d/b/a Zip Mints (“Zip Mints” or “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, protect and disclose your Personal Data including when you use our website, www.zipmints.com (the “Site”).   

PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY. WE MAY MODIFY THIS POLICY AT ANY TIME. ALL CHANGES WILL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON POSTING TO THE SITE. MATERIAL CHANGES WILL BE CONSPICUOUSLY POSTED ON THE SITE OR OTHERWISE COMMUNICATED TO YOU.

  1. What is Personal Data?

When we refer to “Personal Data” in this Policy, we mean information that identifies, relates to, describes or is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a specific person. Personal Data does not include information that is publicly available through government records or information that has been deidentified or aggregated in a way that it cannot be used to identify a specific individual.

    Depending on how you use our Services, we may collect the following categories of Personal Data about you: 

    • Identifiers: Identifying and contact information such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, IP Address, unique device ID, cookie ID, browser information, your internet service provider, operating system information, date and time you visited the Site. 
    • Internet Activity: browsing history, search history, pages you click-on on the Site, the amount of time spent on the Site, when you visited the Site, your interactions with online advertisements, the website you visited prior to visiting the Site. 
    • Commercial Information:  Products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, and content of messages or emails you send to us, context of feedback or survey responses you send to us, comments you post on the Site, and comments or messages you post on our social media pages.
    • Customer Information: When you order our products on the Site, you will need to provide certain financial information to our third-party payment processer, Stripe. Zip Mints does not directly receive the card information you provide to Stripe, but we will receive other contact information you provide to finalize and deliver your order and to provide exchanges or returns in accordance with our policies.
    • Geolocation Data: Imprecise location information, like the city, state and ZIP code associated with your IP address.
    • Other information you provide to us.

    We may collect Personal Data about you from third parties including online and offline sources, our service providers and business partners, social media platforms, or advertising networks.

    • Fulfilling Your Orders and Administering Transactions. (1) to allow you to place orders, process your payments, and fulfill and ship your orders; (2) to communicate with you about your purchase; and to process your requested returns and exchanges in accordance with our company policies.
    • Customer Service and Customer Communications. (1) sending you emails to provide you with alerts and updates to the Terms or this Policy; (2) to respond to your questions and provide customer service; (3) those purposes in which you authorize or instruct us to use your Personal Data.
    • Account Creation and Maintenance. (1) to create your account; (2) to maintain your password; (3) maintain your account settings.
    • Marketing and Advertising Purposes. We may use your Personal Data to advertise and market to you including notifying you of special promotions, sweepstakes and contests, opportunities, offers and events via e-mail and other means. We also use Personal Data to serve you targeted ads.

We may use Personal Data for business purposes including but not limited to: (1) carrying out our obligations and enforcing our rights arising from any contracts we have entered into, including, without limitation, any contracts between you and us; (2) operating and improving our products and services; (3) conducting statistical or demographic analysis; (4) customizing your experience with our website and mobile app; (5) preventing fraud; and (6) other business purposes permitted under applicable law.

    • Service Providers.  We may share Personal Data in connection with the services our service providers provide to us, including, without limitation, order fulfillment, marketing, data hosting, payment processing and fraud protection and prevention. We require these Service Providers to exercise reasonable care to protect your Personal Data and restrict their use of your Personal Data to the purposes for which we provided it to them.
    • Marketing and Advertising Partners. We may share Personal Data to facilitate the delivery of targeted ads, promotions and offers to you, on our behalf, on and off the Site.

    YOU UNDERSTAND THAT NO DATA TRANSMISSION OVER THE INTERNET OR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE CAN BE GUARANTEED TO BE 100% SECURE. WHILE WE STRIVE TO PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND YOU PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK.

    THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

    For your convenience, the Site may link to, or be linked to, websites not maintained or controlled by Zip Mints. This does not imply any affiliation with, or an endorsement, authorization, sponsorship or promotion of a non-Zip Mints website or its owner. Zip Mints is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of any third-parties or any third-party websites. If you choose to access third-party websites, you do so at your own risk, and you should read the terms and conditions and privacy policies for each website that you visit.

    SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES

    Zip Mints participates in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and TikTok (“Social Media”) that enable online sharing and collaboration among customers. This Site may allow you to connect to and share information with these various social media platforms. These features may require us to implement Cookies, plug-ins, and application protocol interfaces (APIs) provided by those Social Media platforms to facilitate those communications and features.

    By choosing to use any third-party social media platform or choosing to share content or communications with any social media platform, you allow us to share information with the designated social media platform. We cannot control any policies or terms of any third-party platforms. Your use of Social Media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the third parties that own and operate those websites and not by this Policy. We encourage you to review those policies and terms. As a result, we cannot be responsible for any use of your Personal Information or content by a third-party platform, which you use at your own risk.

    ACCESS BY CHILDREN

    The Site is not directed at children 13 years of age and under. We do not knowingly collect, use, or share Personal Information from children 13 or under. If a parent or legal guardian learns that their child provided us with Personal Information without his or her consent, please contact us and we will make commercially reasonable attempts to delete such Personal Information.

    ACCESS FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

    By providing Personal Information to us, you understand and consent to the collection and processing of your Personal Information in the United States, regardless that certain governmental authorities may not consider the level of protection of Personal Information in the United States to be equivalent to that required by the European Union or other jurisdictions.

    We use cookies when you use our Site. A cookie is a small text file that our Site saves onto your computer or device when you use the Site that allows the Site to remember your actions and preferences and recognize you or your browser. Web beacons or pixel tags are small graphics on a webpage that monitor your activity when viewing a webpage (together with cookies, “Cookies”). The Site may use both Cookies that we implement and Cookies implemented by third-parties.

You cannot disable all Cookies, such as Cookies that are essential to the functioning of the Site. You can manually delete persistent Cookies, or Cookies that track your activity across websites, through your browser settings.

    We describe below some of the tools we use on our Site to collect information, including Personal Information for Targeted Advertising and Analytics, and the and options that those tools provide to you to limit the use of opt-out of remarketing or analytics for those tools.

    Analytics

    The Site uses third-party analytics tools, including those listed below.

    Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser or mobile device or read cookies that are already there to collect information. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you use our mobile application and how you use our App. We use the information provided by Google Analytics to improve our Site. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information.

    To prevent this data from being used by Google Analytics, follow the instructions to download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for each web browser you use. Using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on will not prevent us from using other analytics tools and will not prevent data from being sent to the Site itself or to Google. Opting out will not affect your use of the Site.     Marketing Communications; Opt-Out.

    If you opt-in to receive marketing communications from us, including emails, mail, calls, texts, or push notifications, we may collect your name, email, mailing address, and phone number. We use this information to send you promotional and other electronic and hardcopy communications. We may use third-party providers to deliver communications to you. You may opt-out of marketing emails by using the “Unsubscribe” link in the email or contacting us at sales@zipmints.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. You can opt-out of push notifications on your device by adjusting your notification settings on your device. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of communications about your account or transactions.

    Account Deletion

    You may delete your account on the Site by contacting us through any method in the Contact Us section of this Policy.

    Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, if you are a California resident, you have the right to obtain: (a) a list of all third parties to whom we may have disclosed your personal information within the past year for direct marketing purposes, and (b) a description of the categories of personal information disclosed, by contacting us per the “Contact Us” Section below.
